Currently writing a book that deals with family relationships and is a follow up to his previous book called "Sun Child Moon Child" published by Pan Books and Little*Stars series.
Through the interest in astrology he has worked on the development of computer research programmes since 1978 and has produced astrological software for other astrologers. He is also a writer and illustrator of children's books and has published over a hundred and fifty or more throughout the world. As an extension of this interest and a growing involvement with children's activity books he also studied psychology and in particular child psychology. Wrote "Sun Child Moon Child" a study of parent/child relationships, "Little Stars" a series of books for parents based on the astrology of the child's first 7 years. The latter series were published in seventeen countries. John worked closely with his wife Caroline Smith on her Elemental Tarot and Moon Oracle writing the books and contributing the astrological content. An interest in the first computers in the late seventies led to the creation of some of the first computer software for astrologers. In the 80's John worked with astrologer Tad Mann producing software for the Logarithmic Timescale, a new system of astrologocal timing based on the work of Rodney Collin. Throughout the last twenty years he has worked professionally in astrology, writing and lecturing at major annual conferences both in the U.K. and Europe. Now lives and works in South West France. Relaxations are cooking ( produced 3 cookbooks back in the sixties for Determined Productions Inc.) and music, playing both blues and flamenco guitar. Has four children and five grandchildren.
His love of creativity and interest in the learning period of childhood combine in what he feels is his unique approach to astrology. To rediscover the child in all of us is where John is sure we can find our own personal truth. Throughout life, in order to come up to other people's expectations we shift tracks and take unwanted roads far, far away from our real selves and the honest happy and creatively uninhibited little person we once were. John's astrology endeavours to explore, discover and reclaim that spontaneity, creativity and happiness.
